　　99年参加MTV的“Star Search”后加入乐坛，连Michael Jackson和Elton John也对她青眼有加。首张专辑《Not That Kind》充分展示了她对各类音乐的驾驭力，同时Anastacia也参予了碟内不少歌曲创作。大碟里的歌曲《I'm Outta Love》就是她的作品，她年纪轻轻，唱功却很厉害，声线嘹亮而且音域广阔，完全发挥了这首soul/funk歌曲的精髓！而另一首歌《 Made For Loving You》则是 Tina Turner 式的 blues & soul，《I Ask For You》则像Whitney Houston的power ballad。
