紅白出場、シングル「Rojo ~Tierra~」のリリースで幕を開けた2015年。中森明菜のその後の動向がまたベールの向こう側に遠ざかっていたが、沈黙を破り、ついに新曲リリース決定。タイトルは「unfixable」。"再生不能"を意味するこの言葉・・・通算50枚目のシングルは意味深なタイトルを持つ自身初の全編英語詞のシングルとなる。また、ストレスによる免疫力低下で体調を崩し、入退院を繰り返してきた彼女の心境を歌ったと言われている「雨月」 (日本語詞)をカップリングに収録。どちらも現在に至るまでの中森明菜を語るに不可欠な作品。
